I value the advisor-advisee relationship and believe that every college student deserves a constructive and positive advising experience.

As an undergraduate at Brown, I served as a Meiklejohn peer advisor, and helped first year students navigate their transition from high school to college. For this position, I helped peer advisees learn new study habits, select courses, and direct them to appropriate resources on campus.

I also have experience advising students with long-term, independent research projects. As the Teaching Fellow for Yale Sociology's Senior Essay class, I helped Sociology senior majors transform a kernel of an idea into a full-fledged research project. I helped student secure funding for their research and offered advice on how to overcome obstacles to their writing.

Given my personal background, I feel particularly comfortable working with international and immigrant students.
